Earlier this week, Dallas Cowboys' defensive coordinator told the media that his team will "beat the all-hype team's ass" in reference to the Philadelphia Eagles who have been the popular name so far this off-season. Today on 97.5 The Fanatic with Mike Missanelli, Michael Vick gave his thoughts on Rob Ryan's comments.
"I was mad about that," Vick said. "Sometimes my emotions do come into play and I felt like that was inappropriate. But he's gonna have to deal with us. And he’s going to have to find solutions just like everybody else. And we don’t talk. We go about our business the right way. Maybe we’ll make him eat his words. I hope he backs it up."
Rob Ryan wasn't done making comments though as he opened up to the media again, with perhaps another subliminal shot at the Eagles. Ryan doesn't seem to be too happy with the hype that is surrounding the Eagles and all of their impact players that they have signed.
"You can't talk noise if you don't have the players to back it up," Ryan said. "We always walk the walk. Anybody that knows a Ryan knows they walk the walk. We don't talk the talk, we walk it. Our guys are gonna be good, and we know it. So that ain't talkin'. That's just the (bleepin') way it is."
The Cowboys-Eagles rivalry didn't really need any gasoline to be thrown on the fire, but as fans, we'll take it. An intense rivalry seems to be gaining some intensity, and that just makes the Cowboy weeks that much better.
