Mascot and Cheerleaders

The Sixers’ Mascot named “Hip Hop” was retired before the 2011 season. There have been talks of creating a new mascot, but nothing has been announced. The 76ers’ fans have been entertained by the 76ers dance team for fourteen seasons. The squad greets fans as they enter the Wells Fargo Center and keep the fans cheering during game breaks. The Dream Team entertains the crowd at half time with the help of the Sixer’s Flight Squad. The Flight Squad is a group of men who excite the crowd with their impressive dunking ability.

In 2011, the Sixer’s Dancers, were renamed the Sixers Dream Team. The Dream Team is also an essential part of the 76er’s Community Assist Program. The 76ers also feature a junior dance team. The juniors perform with the Dream Team at games as well as participate in the Community Assist Program. Some members of the Dream Team also help train the Sixers’ junior dance team.
