In recent trading rumors between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers, a new addition to the package deal has surfaced. According to trade rumors, the Magic have been planning to trade Aaron Affalo for Eric Bledsoe; however, the deal is believed to now include Magic power forward, Andrew Nicholson and possibly Clippers' forward, Caron Butler.
Drafted during the first round of 2012 NBA Draft, Nicholson averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game. Leading the team in shooting efficiency and points per minute, Nicholson has made a strong and positive impact on the Magic and the possibility of losing him puts the trade in a new perspective for skeptical fans as the Magic hope to find a suitable replacement in Caron Butler.
Continuing with the trade rumors from the Orlando Pinstriped Post, the Magic would receive Caron Butler in addition to Bledsoe. Drafted in 2002, Butler is a veteran NBA player that continuously proves his consistent strength on the court. Averaging 10.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1 assist per game, Butler is not exactly a standout player, but his experience serves as his number one strength. Clippers' point guard Eric Bledsoe averaged 8.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in 20.4 minutes during his third season in the NBA.
If the rumors are true, the combined addition of Butler and Bledsoe will hopefully bring about the drastic changes needed for the Magic to turn their losing season around.
