Oakland Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore has all the tools to be a number one target. The knock on the third year man out of Tennessee was his lack of consistency. He always showed the potential to be a special receiver; he just didn't bring it week in and week out. This year, everything has clicked for Moore and he is on pace for his best season of his young career.
In the last four games, Moore has three touchdowns and has not been under 66 yards receiving. He has at least four catches in each game, including a six reception, 124 yard, one touchdown performance against the Denver Broncos. He did not record a reception in week two against the Jacksonville Jaguars because the Raiders had no reason to throw in that game. Moore has been productive in every other game this season. He has accumulated 25 receptions for 399 yards and four touchdowns so far in 2013.
The most special attribute that Moore possesses is his ability to make big plays. Already this season, Moore has touchdown catches of 73 and 39 yards. He can go deep to make plays or use his run after catch ability to make a short pass into a large gain. He and quarterback Terrelle Pryor has developed a nice chemistry. Both players can grow together and develop a lethal connection.
We have seen great stretches of play from Moore before. In the 2012 season, he scored touchdowns in six of nine games, but fell off late in the year. The Raiders are a much improved team this season and are far more competitive. Last season, losing badly had to take an effect on Moore and his teammates. After the bye week, Moore has to finish the way he started the season and leave no doubts he is a top tier receiver.
