Derek Jeter Receives Gifts from Texas Rangers in Ceremony for Yankees Captain

Derek Jeter reacted to the special ceremony for him before Wednesday night's game versus the Texas Rangers in which he was surprised to see former president Bush as one of the special guests, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com:

The latest stop on the Derek Jeter farewell tour was in Arlington, Texas, as the Texas Rangers presented the New York Yankees Captain with gifts on Wednesday night before the game.

Former Rangers Michael Young and Ivan Rodriguez gave Jeter a pair of custom cowboy boots for No. 2 to enjoy after his playing days are over. Among the guests was a surprise visit from former president George W. Bush:

Interestingly enough, Pudge and the Rangers are honoring Jeter on the anniversary of Rodriguez being traded to the Yankees back in 2008.
