A lot of players are on social media which gives the fans the chance to interact with them; whether it be Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Not only are the players themselves on it, but as are their significant others, which can get rather interesting, especially if they have no filter on what they post. Newest New York Yankees pitcher Brandon McCarthy is on Twitter and he can get pretty amusing with some of his tweets (@BMcCarthy32), but not nearly as interesting as his wife Amanda when she is on Twitter and yesterday was just a prime example of why she is a must follow for fans.
Clearly, Amanda got her first taste of trying to deal with the traffic in the Bronx before a Yankee game on a Saturday during the middle of the summer, which can be an utter nightmare and why a lot of people take the subway. (David Cone was an advocate for it, as was Ron Guidry, who one Yankees 101 writer saw riding last spring.)
After the game in which Amanda's husband picked up his first win with the Yankees in a 7-1 route of the Cincinnati Reds at Yankee Stadium, she voiced how proud she was of her husband.
Following her day at Yankee Stadium, Amanda shared her "wild adventures" in New York City, which included making a bucket list of restaurants to visit while in town.
Also I am solo in a bar looking up restaurants that I need to eat at in the next two months.. In case you're wondering how wild my night is— Amanda McCarthy (@Mrs_McCarthy32) July 19, 2014
McCarthy is 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA in his last four starts, two of which are with the Yankees, so if he continues to pitch like that, the Yankees may bring McCarthy back for the 2015 season, so Amanda may want to add a lot of different places in New York City to add to that list of places to visit.
With McCarthy now in the Bronx for the rest of the 2014 season, Brandon McCarthy is slowly becoming a must-see on the mound, but his wife Amanda is becoming a must-follow on Twitter (@Mrs_McCarthy32), especially for any Yankee fan or any baseball fan in general.
