Former New York Yankees outfielder Alfonso Soriano was designated for assignment on Sunday and he has since reacted to the move.

According to Marly Rivera of ESPN Deportes, here's what Sori had to say:

Rivera points out that the term "lawyer" is often used by Hispanic players to refer to their agents, who are also usually lawyers.

As expected, Soriano was nothing but classy on his way out the door. He didn't seem upset and he understood why the Yankees made the move to let him walk as he wasn't producing anymore. Also in his quote, Soriano makes it sound like the move was mutual.

As far as where his career goes after this, Soriano isn't sure what he will do and is considering retirement at this time:

Soriano, who is used to being an everyday player throughout his career, was reduced to nothing more than a platoon player who started in the outfield versus left-handed pitchers.

That's because his numbers have been dreadful in 2014. Soriano compiled just six homers and 23 RBI in the second season of his second stint with the Bronx Bombers, but his .221 average is far below his .270 career mark and the .250 or better he has been accustomed to hitting the past decade.

Soriano had a great month of April after hitting four homers and knocking in 10 runs, although since then his numbers have taken a dive with just two homers and 13 RBI after the first month of the season.

Don't count Soriano out just yet, though. He is still a bat teams will be willing to take a chance on that will come cheap should a ballclub look to make a deal with the Yankees for him if the trade market is too expensive. The 38-year-old could be revived with a new team, but it's more than likely age is starting to get the better of him.

Regardless of what he does, we wish Soriano all the best in his future endeavors.
