New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter got another gift from a Major League Baseball team, this time from the Seattle Mariners.
On Tuesday night, Jeter was given a base from Safeco Field and a seat from the old Kingdome (Seattle's old home ballpark), as well as a check for his charity and an engraved watch from his former teammate who is now with the Mariners, Robinson Cano.
Among the presenters with Cano and Felix Hernandez were former Mariners Edgar Martinez and Jay Buhner, both notorious Yankee killers during their respective careers.

On the watch given to Jeter from Cano, there was an engraving and it read as follows, per Brendan Kuty of NJ.com:
"To Derek: Thank you for showing me how to be a leader. With love and respect, RC."
