Hideki Matsui wasn't called "Godzilla" for no reason. The Japanese star belted plenty of homers during his career in both the United States of America and Japan, and even though he's retired, the New York Yankees legend is still going deep.

Yesterday, at the Hall of Fame Classic in Cooperstown, New York, Matsui hit a solo homer while dressed in a Yankees uniform.

The video is courtesy of MLB.com:

It was certainly a great blast from the past and recreated the many great memories Matsui was apart of during his time in the Bronx.

The game itself ended in a very uninteresting tie.
