VIDEO: Masahiro Tanaka’s 1st Career Hit for New York Yankees

Not only did Masahiro Tanaka own the New York Mets on the mound on Wednesday night, but the New York Yankees ace also recorded his first hit in Major League Baseball.

It came in the ninth inning of Tanaka's complete game shutout and would not have been possible had he not gone to distance.

Tanaka stated earlier last week that he wasn't exactly eager to step up to the plate and even called it "A little bit scary."
