Robinson Cano stepped up for his first at-bat at Yankee Stadium against the New York Yankees as a member of the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night and was booed by his former hometown fans.

The reaction was overwhelmingly negative for Cano, who seemed to crack a smile as he stepped into the batter's box.

The video is courtesy of MLB.com:

There weren't many fans in attendance thanks to bad weather at the stadium, but there's no denying those that made it out to the ballpark weren't pleased with the 31-year-old.

Cano didn't fare too well against Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia, as the Mariners second baseman finished his at-bat with a strikeout.

Of course, Cano's strikeout gave the fans something to cheer about.
