Generally a regular every year at spring training with the New York Yankees, Yogi Berra will not be in attendance this year down in Tampa. David Kaplan, the director at the Yogi Berra Museum, located in Little Falls, New Jersey, expresses that the 87-year-old legend is just fine and will be in attendance for games this season at Yankee Stadium, however he is simply trying to lessen his travel itinerary.
An 18-time All-Star and member of 10 World Series championship teams as a Yankee, the Hall of Famer is highly looked upon as the greatest catcher in the history of Major League Baseball. Moreover, his #8 is prominently displayed in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium, an honor bestowed upon legendary Yankees.
