Echoing a sentiment Michael Corleone once expressed in Godfather III, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”

Instead, simply substitute Corleone with the Yankees faithful as the developments of the latest performance-enhancing drug scandal regarding third baseman Alex Rodriguez continue to unveil. While the news that continues to trickle out is completely "source" fueled, it simply becomes more and more damning.

On the same day New York Post sports writers Ken Davidoff and Joel Sherman quoted a source saying that Rodriguez is fully-fledged to rehab from major hip surgery and return to the Bronx this season, other sources are now telling ESPN's Outside the Lines that the peddler himself, Anthony Bosch, personally went to Rodriguez's mansion on Biscayne Bay and injected Rodriguez himself.

Furthermore, in one visit in particular, Rodriguez allegedly kicked Bosch out after an injection failed due to Bosch not being able to find a vein. As per what has been the norm in these allegations, a spokesman for Rodriguez vehemently denies the latest findings reported by ESPN.

Needless to say, and as Yankees 101 has stressed from the beginning, this is a story that will not go away anytime soon and will continue to be amplified. With reports intensifying surrounding Rodriguez's future in pinstripes, it needs to be pointed out that while nothing has yet to be confirmed, however the lack of a denial from Rodriguez himself does not bode well for the slugger.

As this process continues to run its course, the addition of  third baseman Kevin Youkilis this offseason looks all the more better.
