New York Rangers’ Carl Hagelin Injury Might Be Serious

Carl Hagelin has been a welcomed edition to the New York Rangers because of his speed and how he goes after the puck.

When playing in Sweden, he kept his foot on the gas pedal which resulted in a shoulder injury last week. The injury was originally believed not to be serious, much like that of Rick Nash's.

However, news came out that Hagelin could be more seriously hurt than previously expected.

Although he left the game in the third period, he and the head coach of Sodertalje SK both said Hagelin was removed from the game just for precautionary measures.

The fact he won't be representing his country in next week's Euro Hockey Tour makes one believe there is something serious wrong with the shoulder. Hopefully the young winger won't need surgery and NYRangers101 will keep you updated on Hagelin's status when we get the word.
