Mets 101 Game Preview: New York Mets at Miami Marlins

The New York Mets (32-40) head to South Beach to face the Miami Marlins(36-35) Thursday evening at Marlins Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM. Both teams come in struggling, as the Mets have dropped twelve of their last sixteen, while the Marlins have won just two of their last nine.

Zack Wheeler (2-7, 4.38) will look to rebound from a pair of brutal starts in which he allowed four runs on six hits while failing to go longer than five innings in both. He's winless in three starts this month, with his last win coming on May 29.

Andrew Heaney (0-0, 0.00) makes his big league debut Thursday after lighting up AA and AAA during the early stages of 2014. The Marlins top pitching prospect has a cumulative 13-12 record with a 2.47 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 76 2/3 minor league innings this season.
