The New York Mets snapped their six game losing streak with style last night. A grand slam from Taylor Teagarden helped the Mets (29-35) defeat the Milwaukee Brewers (38-27) 6-2 on Tueday night. The Mets will look to make it two games in a row and win the series tonight against Milwaukee. First pitch for tonight's game is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Citi Field.
The Mets will send rookie right hander Jacob deGrom (0-2, 3.19 ERA) to the mound in search of his first career win. deGrom had his worst start his last time out, allowing four runs in five innings against the Chicago Cubs. deGrom received a no decision in the contest, which the Cubs would go on to win 7-4. The Brewers will counter with righty Wily Peralta (5-5, 3.03 ERA). Peralta picked up a win in his last outing, allowing four runs over five innings to beat the Minnesota Twins.
