Coming off a rough 9-4 loss Tuesday night, the New York Mets (20-24) continue their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers (24-22) Wednesday night Citi Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM. The Dodger lineup flexed its muscles in the opener, pounding out nine runs on fifteen hits en route to the win.

The Mets will send another rookie hurler to the mound Wednesday, as Jacob deGrom (0-1, 1.29) makes his second career MLB start. DeGrom was excellent in his debut last week, allowing just one run over seven innings in a 1-0 loss to the Yankees.
Hyun-jin Ryu (3-2, 3.00) will return to action after missing over three weeks with a shoulder injury. Ryu last started April 27 against Colorado and allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits over five innings, for what was his second loss of the season. In two career starts against New York, Ryu is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA.
- After traveling to his native Dominican Republic due to the death of his aunt, Juan Lagares will rejoin the Mets Wednesday and bat leadoff.
