The New York Mets' offense has vanished since leaving Colorado on Sunday afternoon. The Mets (16-16) only scored three runs in a 4-3 loss to the Miami Marlins on Monday night, and were blanked by Henderson Alvarez last night. The Marlins (18-18) have won the first two games of the three game series, leaving the Mets looking to avoid a sweep in the getaway game this afternoon. First pitch for today's game at Marlins Park is scheduled for 12:40 pm.

The Mets will send righty Zack Wheeler (1-3, 5.13 ERA) to the mound this afternoon. Wheeler had the worst start of his young career his last time out, giving up seven runs in a loss to the Rockies. The Marlins will counter with righty Tom Koehler (3-2, 2.41 ERA), who the Mets beat earlier in the season.
