Mets 101 Game Preview: New York Mets at Colorado Rockies

The New York Mets (15-14) look to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Colorado Rockies (19-13) Sunday afternoon at Coors Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 PM EST. Last night, the Mets blew a 6-0 lead, ultimately falling 11-10 on a pinch-hit, walk-off three-run home run by Charlie Culberson in the bottom of the ninth off of closer Kyle Farnsworth (L, 0-2).

Dillon Gee (2-1, 2.88 ERA) gets the start this afternoon for the Mets. His last time out, he pitched eight shutout innings, yielding three hits and striking out six en route to a 4-0 victory over the Miami Marlins. Gee last faced the Rockies on August 8 where he have up one run over 7 2/3 innings in a 2-1 Met win at Citi Field.

Jhoulys Chacin will make his season debut this afternoon as he comes off the disabled list. Last year, Chacin went 14-10 with a 3.47 ERA in 31 starts. In three career starts against the Mets, he is 1-1 with a 1.89 ERA.
