Mets 101 Game Preview: New York Mets at Colorado Rockies

The New York Mets (15-13) continue their four-game series with the Colorado Rockies (18-13) Saturday night at Coors Field. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 PM EST. The Rox have been dominant with their bats over the past two nights, outscoring the Amazins 17-7 so far in the series.

Mets Starting Lineup

  1. CF Juan Lagares
  2. 2B Daniel Murphy
  3. 3B David Wright
  4. LF Chris Young
  5. RF Curtis Granderson
  6. C Anthony Recker
  7. 1B Lucas Duda
  8. SS Ruben Tejada
  9. SP Jenrry Mejia

Jenrry Mejia (3-0, 3.49) will start for the Mets, who desperately need a quality start to give the bullpen a rest. Mejia has thrown at least five innings in each of his five starts this year.

Franklin Morrales (3-1, 4.40) gets the ball for Colorado, making his first career start against New York. In seven relief appearances, Morrales has a 0-0 record with a 6.23 ERA and one save.

Pre-Game Notes

  • Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado extended his hitting streak to 22 games on Friday, the best in the Majors.
  • Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki leads all of baseball with a .385 batting average.
