Friday was a whirlwind day for the New York Mets. The Mets made a big move before the game, trading first baseman Ike Davis to the Pittsburgh Pirates literally minutes before first pitch. The Mets (8-8) then forgot their bats against the Atlanta Braves (11-5), getting one hit in a 6-0 loss. The Mets will look to bounce back and even their series tonight at 7:10 pm at Citi Field.

The Mets will send right hander Bartolo Colon (1-2, 6.00 ERA) to the mound looking to get back in the win column. Colon didn't have it in his last start, allowing nine runs over five miserable innings against the Los Angeles Angels last Sunday. The Braves will counter with righty Ervin Santana (1-0, 0.64 ERA), who is making his third start in a Braves' uniform. Santana has pitched very well for the Braves, allowing only one run in 14 innings over his first two starts.
