Mets 101's Seven in Seven series returns in 2014 as our gift to you. Each week, the Mets 101 staff will begin a countdown of something related to the New York Mets ( i.e. best third baseman, worst defeat, etc.). We will begin our countdown on Tuesdays with the number seven and work all the way to number one. Inspired by recent lack events involving the New York Mets, this week’s countdown has little to do with the baseball team itself and instead looks at seven of the most famous celebrity Met fans. Today we take a look at comedian Jon Stewart.

Stewart, who has hosted The Daily Show on Comedy Central since 1999, has been a life long Mets fan. Stewart has acknowledged the fact frequently on his show, including in interviews with Mets players such as David Wright. Stewart has often used the Mets in some jokes on his show, but he has always demonstrated his love for the Amazin's too.

One particularly notable sequence aired on June 5th, 2012, the first night Stewart's show aired after Johan Santana's no hitter. Stewart was at the game and shared footage of himself celebrating with his family on the show. Stewart has always been a passionate Mets fan and will no doubt look forward to the return to prominence for the Mets.

Stewart has also been frequently spotted at Shea Stadium and Citi Field throughout the years. While Stewart isn't as actively involved in his fandom as some other celebrities, like Kevin James and Chris Rock, Stewart has been attending games even though the team's lean years. Stewart has also had a very successful entertainment career, appearing in numerous films and television shows as well as hosting both the Grammys and Oscars award shows twice.
