After getting drubbed by the Atlanta Braves yesterday afternoon, the New York Mets will look to snap their two game losing streak in tonight's game with the Atlanta Braves. The second of a three game set is scheduled for 7:10 pm at Turner Field. Carlos Torres (3-2, 2.77 ERA) will look to build off a strong outing in his last turn for the Mets, while the Braves will send righty Kris Medlen (11-12, 3.58 ERA) to the bump to oppose him. Here is tonight's Mets' lineup:
- LF Eric Young Jr
- 2B Daniel Murphy
- 3B Josh Satin
- 1B Lucas Duda
- C Travis d'Arnaud
- RF Juan Lagares
- CF Matt den Dekker
- SS Omar Quintanilla
- SP Carlos Torres
- Lucas Duda gets his first start as the regular first baseman today and will bat cleanup.
- Wilmer Flores gets a day off at third, while Josh Satin will spell him and bat cleanup.
- Daniel Murphy was named the National League's Player of the Week. Last week, the Mets' second baseman had 13 hits, five doubles, and seven runs scored.
