The New York Mets (26-40) will look to pick up where they left off Tuesday evening against the Atlanta Braves (42-29) after taking the first game of a day-night doubleheader by a score of 4-3. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM at Turner Field in Atlanta. The nightcap will mark the long awaited debut of starting pitcher Zack Wheeler who has posted a 4-2 record with a 3.93 ERA in thirteen starts this season for the AAA Las Vegas 51's. Wheeler will wear #45 in his MLB debut.

- MetsBlog.com is reporting the Mets are close to announcing a deal worth close to $2.6 Million for their first-round draft pick Dominic Brown. The eighteen year-old first baseman will officially sign Tuesday or Wednesday night according to Robert Brender.
- First baseman Josh Satin will get his first start of the season in the nightcap, batting fifth. The 28-year old Satin in 0-for-3 with three strikeouts this season since being recalled from AAA Las Vegas on June 9.
