New York Mets Closer Frank Francisco Has Bone Spur Removed from Throwing Elbow

According to MLB.com, New York Mets closer Frank Francisco had surgery in his right throwing elbow, to remove bone spurs on Tuesday. The surgery was performed by Dr. David Altchek. As of right now Francisco is expected to make a full recover and ready for opening day. Good news for a Mets team that are going to need all hands on deck for the 2013 season. 

In this past season, he registered 23 saves, along with going 1-3 with a 5.53 ERA.
