Despite yet another slow start for the New York Knicks, they hold on to beat the Milwaukee Bucks lead by a strong 2nd half performance, especially in the 4th quarter.

Another slow start by New York Knicks against a clearly inferior team made it seem like a long night was ahead for the Knickerbockers. But persistence and strong performances from New York Knicks stars lead them to victory. Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire paced the scoring with 25 and 17 respectively while Tyson Chandler was a beast on the boards recording 20 rebounds.

Keys to the game were good overall defense, especially on Brandon Jennings, and finishing strong. Brandon Jennings has had some big games against the Knicks but they did a good job only keeping him to 14 points. The Milwaukee Bucks have some offensive fire power between Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis, and Ersan Ilyasova but New York Knicks defense did a good job not letting their offense get hot. They kept them shooting under 40% from the field. Also, the New York Knicks help the Milwaukee Bucks to just 13 points in the 4th quarter which lead to the easy win.

Though the New York Knicks didn't have a great offensive game, they were relentless. They got to the free throw line consistently and scored when it counted. Also, Carmelo Anthony scored over 20 points for the 31st time in a row with 25 points tonight. This helped lead to the New York Knicks 3rd straight win.

The New York Knicks are now just a half game behind 1st place Miami heat but after winning three straight games, they seem to be on the right track. The only real negative was starting slow in yet another game, but their offensive fire power and bend but don't break defense has been more then enough when it matters most.

Tomorrow, the New York Knicks will host the Sacremento Kings. If you remember what happened last time these two met, it will bring back bad memories. The Knicks started slowly and were down about 20 at one point in the second half. They ended up coming back but losing on a unlikely buzzer beater. The Knicks need to start fast so they don't have to compensate in the second half and play catch up. The Sacremento Kings are a team the New York Knicks should beat and they need to not only finish strong but also start fast and jump on the Kings before it is too late.
