Baron Davis had an injury stricken season last year with the New York Knicks.  He was signed off of waivers but was sidelined for the first 8 weeks with a herniated disk. When he returned it was supposed to be for 15-20 minutes a night behind starter Jeremy Lin but that all changed with Lin's knee injury.  Davis became the starter but was plagued with many injuries and was never able to get fully back into shape. He showed signs of the old Baron but those were just flashes and then he severely injured his knee in game 4 of the Playoffs.

Baron Davis says he will be back and after he gets off the crutches and is able to start rehab he will do everything he can to come back. He hopes it is with the New York Knicks and says he would love to be the backup to Jeremy Lin.  He says he loves playing in New York and feels he has a lot to prove to the fans in the city.  Baron Davis wants to play basketball next season and wants to be in a Knicks uniform.

It is hard to tell how long he will be out for but early reports are that it will be a long time before Baron will be able to hit the court.  He is not signed with the Knicks at this time, he only signed a one year deal last year.  The Knicks would not have to sign him before the season because Davis is not expected to have many suitors. The Knicks will be looking for a back up Point Guard this off season and it is not expected to be Baron Davis.
