So just after 4 pm Eastern time today the New York Jets, along with all NFL clubs, made the final announcement of which players were no longer with the team to open the 2014 NFL season next week. Here are all of the players the Jets released with there final cuts:

Quarterbacks: Matt Simms and Tajh Boyd

Running Backs: Alex Green and Daryl Richardson

Wide Receivers: Clyde Gates and Stephen Hill

Tight End: Chris Pantale

Offensive Linemen: Caleb Schlauderaff, William Campbell (2013 draft pick) and Brent Qvale

Defensive Linemen: Tevita Finau, Kerry Hyder and Zach Thompson

Linebackers: Troy Davis, AJ Edds, Garrett McIntyre and Antwan Barnes (who was placed on the Reserve/PUP list)

Cornerbacks: Brandon Dixon (2014 draft pick), Johnny Patrick, Dimitri Patterson and Jeremy Reeves

Safety: Rontez Miles

Of all of these players we could certainly see Matt Simms, Chris Pantale, Will Campbell, Troy Davis, Brandon Dixon, Rontez Miles and possibly AJ Edds added to the now 10 man practice squad should they all clear waivers on Sunday. Antwan Barnes will be eligible to return to the field after the sixth game of the season should he be fully healthy enough by then. We will have more on the 53 man roster itself shortly as well.

Seeing your team play in the SuperBowl is priceless. Watching the SuperBowl live in the stands for $1 per week is beyond priceless. Find out how at, the future of Championship Tickets.
