The wait is over. After a lot of thinking and some hard decision making, the New York Jets have completed the tough task of putting together their final 53-man roster.
After drafting 12 players in May, only eight of them earned a spot on the 53-man roster. Dexter McDougle and Shaquelle Evans obviously could not make the team due to season ending injuries. Some of the others who did not make the final squad will find themselves on the practice squad. There were no huge surprises, and the release of Stephen Hill was clearly the biggest news of the day other than the roster being released. Some positions, like quarterback, halfback, and defensive line, were practically easy to predict. Without further ado, here are the 2014 New York Jets. All players are listed at each position in numerical order with each player's number in parentheses. After the reports of Dimitri Patterson going AWOL last week, his fate was close to certain, and it became official today.
