First, it was New York Giants rookie Andre Williams who got things rolling, saying the Giants were the team of New York. Then Jets head coach Rex Ryan responded saying the last time he saw Williams, he was getting smoked by Clemson back in college.
Williams responded to Ryan, but nothing that would spark it as a snarky response. On Thursday, it was Jets starting center Nick Mangold who took his shot at the Giants.
The Jets veteran center posted a picture on his Twitter account, showing him coming into practice along with the MetBowl Game trophy of a year ago, which has Snoopy on top of the trophy, and reminded the Giants of the results last year.

The game was an overtime win for the Jets last year; although people will remember the game more for injuries; Mark Sanchez was hurt in the second half of the game and needed season-ending surgery on his shoulder as a result and Stevie Brown tore his ACL after picking off a Geno Smith pass and missed the entire 2013 season as a result.
While it's always fun to be able to talk trash about wins to the counterpart, it is after all, a meaningless preseason game and the games that matter most are the ones in the regular season or in the playoffs and the trophy that has more meaning to it is the Lombardi Trophy for winning a Super Bowl; something the Jets haven't been able to do since 1969 in Super Bowl III.
Seeing your team play in the SuperBowl is priceless. Watching the SuperBowl live in the stands for $1 per week is beyond priceless. Find out how at TicketScore.com, the future of Championship Tickets. Tags: Football, New York, New York Giants, New York Jets, NFL, Nick Mangold
