Every New York Jets fan is beyond frustrated with this season, this team and Mark Sanchez. The vast majority, probably 99%, can vent their frustration within reason, even when expressing their feelings through Twitter. One fan could not do so and sent an explicit death threat to Mark Sanchez and ordered him not to show up to practice Wednesday promising "BULLETS EVERYWHERE."

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez received a disturbing threat of violence on Twitter last night from a fan obviously frustrated with the quarterback's major struggles. Obviously, nothing excuses what was written in the tweet:

And if that wasn't enough, there's this gem:

That wasn't the end. Tweeting with the handle @BraveGrancru, this person went on to say that Mark Sanchez better have armed security at practice and made sure to send tweets to FOX News and CNN asking for air time to talk about his "future killing." He went on to tweet a picture of himself, again mentioning Sanchez and telling him to "Take a good look at your killer."

Not much really needs to be said. This is, after all, a game. The NFL is followed by passionate fans but this kind of hate and these kinds of threats, real or fake, shouldn't be directed at anyone no matter how brutal their performance.

Beyond that, did we really need a promise of bullets everywhere considering recent events? The Jets lost last night's game while wearing a helmet decal to honor the victims of the horrific tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, then someone goes ahead and threatens to go on a rampage at their practice on Wednesday because they were eliminated from the playoffs.

Again, we know this is not representative of the New York Jets fanbase at all. However, the person responsible isn't ashamed at all the day after sending the tweet, as it's still up and has not been deleted.

Busted Coverage was the first to find the threatening tweet.
