The New York Jets training camp storylines changed dramatically when the team traded for Jeff Otah yesterday. Injuries, training camp battles and high-profile additions are the main storylines to watch this week as Jets training camp gets started up at SUNY Cortland. Tim Tebow will obviously be a big story, as will Mark Sanchez, but so will characters such as new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, safety LaRon Landry, and the other new faces joining the Jets this season.

The New York Jets will always be a team with a spotlight shining on them as long as Rex Ryan is at the helm. The Jets are fun, they're loud and there always seems to be something going on. Despite the lack of a Super Bowl guarantee, there seems to be even more intrigue and buzz around training camp this season than usual. What are the top storylines?

Tim Tebow: Tim Tebow is a story no matter what he's doing, but now we are getting closer to actually seeing him take the field for the green and white. How will he be used? How will he get along with starter Mark Sanchez? These questions have been examined over and over, and we already have a pretty good idea as to the answers, but now we find out for real.

Mark Sanchez: This is a big year for Mark Sanchez, with the doubters out in full force. Time is running out on the "young quarterback" label, and the two AFC Championship game appearances don't seem to be doing much to stem the tide of observers turning against him. It's time for Mark Sanchez to take a big step forward and cement himself as a solid NFL starting quarterback.

LaRon Landry: LaRon Landry is an "X-Factor" for the Jets' 2012 season. Still recovering from an Achilles injury and starting training camp on the PUP list, LaRon Landry has the ability to transform the Jets secondary from a top five unit to the obvious choice as the best group in the NFL. LaRon Landry makes an impact at all levels of the defense when he's at his best, a true playmaking safety that Rex Ryan has been thirsting for. Landry would be the closest thing to Ed Reed that Rex Ryan has had since, well, Ed Reed.

Jeff Otah: One of the biggest questions surrounding the Jets was the right tackle position. While still a question, the Jets have added major talent to the position in the form of Jeff Otah. It will still be a competition with Wayne Hunter, and Jeff Otah is far from a sure thing given his health issues, but if healthy he could help the Jets offensive line return to their 2009-2010 form.

Tony Sparano: What impact will Tony Sparano have on the Jets offense this season? If he stays true to his word, Tony Sparano will usher in a return to the Ground and Pound style that took the Jets to the brink of the Super Bowl under Rex Ryan in 2009 and 2010. Will the the departure from Brian Schottenheimer and his vision of a high-powered aerial attack turn a bewildered, ineffective unit in 2011 into a physical, efficient group in 2012?
