While the selection of Chandler Harnish by the Indianapolis Colts officially ended the 2012 NFL Draft, teams continue to put in work immediately following the conclusion of the draft to scour the crop of undrafted players. The New York Jets have picked up 11 players that didn't get their names called over the three days of the 2012 NFL Draft, including D'Anton Lynn, son of Jets running backs coach Anthony Lynn.
The players' own twitter accounts are the main way of finding out who signed, so they often don't specify whether the New York Jets signed them or brought them in for a tryout at the rookie minicamp. Either way, 11 players that went undrafted will try to find a way to crack the Jets roster:
Defensive back D'Anton Lynn of Penn State and Jackson State outside linebacker Donovan Robinson, per their agent Peter Schaffer's twitter:
Montana kicker Brody McKnight per MontanaGrizzlies.com.
Cornerback Donnie Fletcher of Boston College per WBRU Radio.
Nevada defensive tackle Brett Roy per his Twitter account.
Michigan State tight end Brian Linthicum per his Twitter account.
Tulsa quarterback G.J. Kinne per his Twitter account.
William Penn defensive lineman Damon Harrison per his Twitter account.
North Alabama linebacker Marcus Dowtin per his Twitter account.
Furman cornerback Ryan Steed per his Twitter account.
Is there a diamond in the rough here? That's what rookie minicamp and training camp are for. Throughout the next week we will take a deeper look at each of these players and all of the players the Jets acquired throughout 2012
NFL Draft weekend.
