New York Jets running back Joe McKnight has been listed as questionable all week after suffering a separated shoulder in the 45-19 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. McKnight had missed the game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to an elbow injury. Rex Ryan labeled him as a game-time decision earlier in the week, but he is now expected to play against the New York Giants today.
Jenny Vrentas of the Star-Ledger reports that McKnight is expected to play. It is not known how much playing time he will see, or whether he or Antonio Cromartie will return kickoffs. It is welcome news for the Jets, as McKnight has become a major part of the team and is a big-play threat both as a returner and out of the backfield. Look for the Jets to potentially get him involved with some screen passes today against a fierce Giants pass rush.
The news will be official when the teams announce their inactive players about 90 minutes before kickoff. If there are any new developments, Jets 101 will keep you posted.
