Player/Coach Quotes:

Will Beatty:

"I have been looking forward to this moment. I am blessed to be in this position. Coaches feel that I have proved myself in practice enough to allow me to play in this preseason game and travel with them. They haven’t given me any indication of how many plays or snaps I am going to play so before you ask that question I don’t know. I am traveling. Traveling means that I will have a chance and opportunity to be out there on the field. I am looking forward to it. "

Walter Thurmond III:

"It’s going to be a great test for us. We’re striving to be the best secondary group out there and one of the best defenses to play the game this year, so it’s going to be a great test. They have a great ground game, Andrew Luck is a phenomenal passer. It’s really going to test us to see if we’re able to get our hands on it, to minimize those penalties down the field."

Hakeem Nicks:

"It will be an experience, but I’m looking forward to it."

Giants offense is fully installed for tonight’s game, so, in theory, what we see on field should show more polish than last two wks.

  2. Dirt says:

Robert Mathis is out tonight. On the plus side, he won’t be blowing by Beatty and prematurely ending Eli’s season. On the minus side, we won’t get to see Beatty against world class competition.

I am looking for the offense to take a step forward in terms of the passing game. But let’s not set ourselves up for disappointment–this is a new offense, with lots of new players, playing in the 3rd of 5 preseason games. So there’s not going to be this cataclysmic change in what we’ve already seen thus far. In fact, I happen to think we’re going to look like sh*t, truth be told.

    Dan,

I don’t get WFAN so I have no clue who he is, but is that dude who said there’s a rift about Jernigan legit? You ran with it so I imagine you believe he is, but just curious to hear more about who he is.

    3 & out…bad toss by Eli there.

  6. TroyThorne says:

Pugh got smoked on that blitz.

  7. BigBlueGiant says:

    Lol. This team sucks.

Zero pass rush, zero o-line protection, WR can’t get open and put of sync with Eli.

It’s gonna be a long season fellas

  8. TroyThorne says:

    Zero bright spots so far.

  9. BigBlueGiant says:

    And a turnover. Lol

  10. aikitim says:

Eli still looking terrified in the ‘Pocket’.
