When retired New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan finally receives his gold jacket during the Gold Jacket Dinner on Friday, Aug. 1st in Canton, it will be FOX Sports insider, Jay Glazer, who presents it to him. The following day, during the enshrinement ceremony at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it will also be Glazer who introduces him.

The announcement that Glazer would introduce Strahan — something that has been speculated for quite some time — was made official on Thursday. And after decades of a family-like friendship, it seems only appropriate that Glazer will be there for Strahan on his biggest night.

"We've been brothers for a long time; we've been friends for more than half of our lives,” Glazer told the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “I don't think it hit me until the last month or so. How amazing is it that when someone gets enshrined into eternity in football, they ask you to come along for the ride? That's without a doubt the highlight of my career."

There had been some speculation that head coach Tom Coughlin, who will undoubtedly be at the ceremony as well, would handle Strahan's introduction, but the bond between No. 92 and Glazer made it only fair that he be there with his good friend.

The Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 2nd will be aired nationally on both NFL Network and ESPN.
