Brandon Jacobs Predicts New York Giants Will Return to Super Bowl This Year

Although he's now retired from professional football, running back Brandon Jacobs still very much bleed blue. And on Friday, B-Jac took to Twitter and made a prediction that all Big Blue fans are sure to love: the New York Giants are headed back to the Super Bowl this year.

Jacobs' predictions are quite optimistic when you consider that Vegas has given the Giants an over/under of 7.5 wins in 2014, while Football Outsiders has predicted them to finish at 9-7 and in second place in the NFC East. But then again, the Giants weren't given good odds in either 2007 or 2011 either — something Jacobs knows an awful lot about.

All of that being said, Jacobs spent the previous few days tweeting about how he was re-watching the Super Bowl runs of both 2007 and 2011, so there's a strong change he got himself all hyped up on the past. At the same time, the Giants have clearly packed all of their eggs into one basket and appear geared up for another Super Bowl run.

Should Jacobs' prediction reign true, he and all of the Giants' faithful are in for a fun, exciting and heart-pounding season.

The NFL is so secretive about these suspensions but I don’t understand why the if a player grants permission why they can’t release details. I don’t know if Hill’s story is true but it definitely appears he’s not guilty of a clear cut violation. Look no further than Daryl Washington who was suspended the first 4 games last year just like Hill and got caught again but is suspended for the entire 2014 season. It doesn’t say Hill is innocent but it does say what he did is lessor.

Roster wise what happen yesterday is we basically will have 2 more roster spots than we otherwise might have had. Keeping 2 QBs was always possible but now I think it’s close to a given. Also because Hill will be suspended Demps, Berhe and Taylor can all make the 53 man roster.
