Former Dallas Cowboys Fan, Kyle Bosworth, Ready to Do Whatever New York Giants Ask of Him

Growing up, linebacker Kyle Bosworth was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys — an NFC East rival of his current team, the New York Giants. But the fourth-year player out of UCLA has no issues with that, and says his "love" of the star has dissipated and he'd "just love to beat them" at this point. Apparently that's something he shares in common with fellow linebacker Dan Connor, who said he originally felt like a traitor to the Cowboys after signing with Big Blue.

But, all that fandom aside, Bosworth is out to create his own identity — something that will distance himself from the fame of his uncle, Brian Bosworth, and the shadow of his wife, reality TV star Kara Keough.

“I can definitely play all the [linebacker] positions,” Bosworth said on Thursday. “I just got here today. It was my first day of OTAs. I’ve still got to do a lot of learning in the playbook, but I’m able to fit in with the Will, Mike and Sam. I’m very versatile. I’ve played and started. I’ve been on every single special team, so basically wherever they need me I’ll be able to do it. Whatever they ask and I’ll be ready to go.”

The only player on the Giants with any experience playing with Bosworth is cornerback Aaron Ross, who re-signed with Big Blue this offseason after spending a year with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“He’s definitely a hard worker,” Ross said. “I think he’s a player that knows the game. I think he’s a really smart player. With that combination, I think we’re getting a great player. … I did [enjoy playing with him]. He was easy to play with, very coachable and he picks up on the defense really well. He works really hard. He’s one of the guys that improve day to day.”

Bosworth has an uphill battle ahead of him as the Giants are stacked with a number of young linebackers who are all competing for a limited number of spots. However, his willingness to play any position the team asks of him, coupled with his work ethic and ability to play well on Special Teams, could go a long way in securing him a spot on the final 53-man roster.

He might be a good pickup.
My take on why we have no corners and a pile of safety’s.
    With the three safety look.
Giants will be double covering the WR’s

The NFL Network top 100 list. aka “Give us a break, we need programing for May and June”.
