It seemed inevitable that New York Giants Director of College Scouting, Marc Ross, would eventually land a job as an NFL General Manager, and it appears likely that will happen sooner rather than later.
Ross, who is currently in his fifth season as the Giants' Director of College Scouting, has seen tremendous success alongside General Manager Jerry Reese over that span, and the duo have been credited with having some of the best drafts since 2008.
In his first organized draft with the team, the Giants selected safety Kenny Phillips, cornerback Terrell Thomas and wide receiver Mario Manningham. Before that, and during his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Ross was responsible for drafting players such as Brian Westbrook, Lito Sheppard and Derrick Burgess.
A native of Sharon Hill, Penn., Ross originally entered the NFL as a Public Relations Training Camp Intern for the Giants in 1995.
Should he eventually sign with the Panthers, they are getting one of the best and most talented men the NFL has to offer.
