New York Giants defensive captain Justin Tuck has been plagued by injuries for the majority of his career. That theme continued on Wednesday as Tuck unexpectedly sat out of practice with a shoulder injury, apparently suffered last week against the Atlanta Falcons.
"He probably banged it in the game, although he didn’t come out of the game or anything of that nature," coach Tom Coughlin said. "We can and I think he can deal with it because he’s had to before."
Last season, Tuck battled through several injuries, including a nagging shoulder issue. It is unclear whether this injury is related, however it doesn't appear to be serious, and Tuck is expected to play in a must-win game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Tuck is looking to break out of a slump on Sunday. Last week's loss in Atlanta marked his fifth game in a row without recording a single sack.
