The talk has already begun between the New York Giants and the Atlanta Falcons in anticipation of this Sunday’s playoff game, beginning with some words from linebacker, Justin Tuck, who “discussed” his thoughts on the Falcons offensive line.

Today, Falcons wide receiver, Roddy White, shared some sentiments about Giants receiver, Victor Cruz. Essentially, White praised Cruz for his performance this year, but as reported by Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star Ledger, White noted:

“Next year, he may be in for a rude awakening.”

To think that opposing teams have not been game-planning against Cruz already is absurd. Admittedly, fellow receiver, Hakeem Nicks, has been having a terrific season as well. But Cruz has been seeing more and more safety coverage since the first game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, White did have some kinder words about Cruz, explaining:

“Any time you put out those kinds of numbers, he’s going to be in for a really good pay day, but he deserves it…Any guy that goes out there and puts up 1,500 yards, that’s remarkable. That’s one of the nicest seasons you can have so I think the Giants should pay him.”

He summed up his feelings on Cruz by saying:

“I’m a Victor Cruz fan…I think they should pay him.”

Perhaps White is feeling a little insecure since the Falcons acquired Julio Jones, but ultimately, these receivers will all get a chance to show their stuff on Sunday at 1pm.
