Logan Mankins Fined $10,000 for Clipping

There were many things to cheer about this past Sunday as the New England Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31 to improve their record to 7-2 as they head into their bye week this week.

One minor "bad" note to report is that G Logan Mankins has been fined $10,000 for clipping as he blocked Steeler nose tackle Steve McLendon. The fine was reported by Mike Reiss of

Mankins was penalized on the play which occurred in the first quarter. The play was a run by RB Stevan Ridley, which went for no gain. According to Reiss, Mankins put his arms in the air after he was penalized, obviously disagreeing with the call.
