The New England Patriots have made a couple of roster moves earlier today. Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com reports that the team has signed WR LaQuan WIlliams. Williams was undrafted free agent from the 2011 NFL Draft. The former Maryland receiver was on the Baltimore Ravens for the past two years. He did not see a lot of time at wide receiver, instead finding his niche as a special teams contributor.

The Patriots signed RB Cierre Wood to the practice squad as well. Wood is an undrafted free agent from this year's draft out of Notre Dame. He made the Houston Texans roster and was on the team until he was released after violating team rules on a road trip.

To make room for Williams on the active roster, Yates also reports that the Patriots have released WR Austin Collie. Collie left Sunday's game with a knee injury and did not return to the game. Collie caught three passes for 34 yards during his month-long stint with the Patriots.
