New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola missed last week's game against the New York Jets after being sidelined due to a concussion suffered in the Patriots thrilling come-from-behind victory over the New Orleans Saints.
This week he has practiced every day and appears to be ready to return to the playing field for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. As ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss reports, Danny Amendola says that he is "feeling good and ready to go."
While he did not confirm or deny that he was 100 percent going to play Sunday, he did say that he has pretty much cleared every test that he has had to take through the NFL's concussion protocol.
I've done pretty much everything they've asked me to do. I'm healthy and I'm ready to play, he said, adding that the tests are both physical and mental.
I'm sure it's the same thing if you get [in] a car accident, he continued. It's all independent doctors. The NFL does a great job of helping guys out with that sort of thing. It's been a big deal in the past three years; you just have to go through [the process] and listen to what they're telling you.
While it remains to be seen from the injury report if he will indeed play on Sunday, all signs are pointing to him being cleared for the Dolphins as he has practiced all week.
