After reports came out that Patriots players are confused and annoyed that Rob Gronkowski has been practicing but not playing on Sunday, Bill Belichick addressed reporters about the subject earlier today.

Pro Football Talk reports that Belichick says what Gronkowski does is a pretty common occurrence in the NFL. Specifically, his quote read, “There are a lot of players that practice that aren’t ready to play yet, but they’re ready to participate in practice. That’s pretty common.”

You would think that with so much uncertainty around Gronkowski and the constant news that comes out surrounding his injury, that the Patriots would be having a terrible season. Despite all the circus around Gronkowski and Tom Brady struggling with the offense, the Patriots are still at the top of the division at 5-1.
