Every NFL team has to deal with injuries, however, it seems as if the New England Patriots have been hit by the injury bug a little more than the norm throughout the 2013 offseason, training camp and regular season. Injuries to Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola, Shane Vereen and Matthew Slater are just a few names to have been placed on some sort of injury related list.
-The good news for Patriots fans is that Matthew Slater was the only Patriot who did not participate in Thursday's practice. Slater has a broken wrist and is expected to miss between four and six weeks.
-Meanwhile, TE Zach Sudfeld was a full participant in practice today and will provide some much needed help at the tight end position on Sunday. Even better, as Erik Scalavino reports, Alfonzo Dennard, Steven Ridley, Aaron Dobson, Marquice Cole and Duron Harmon were all taken off the injury report.
For the Buccaneers, G Carl Nicks was a limited participant while DE Adrian Clayborn and LB Mason Foster fully participated in practice. Nicks is one of the best interior lineman in football, and if they get him back this week. it will certainly go a long way in helping Josh Freeman throw and Doug Martin run the ball.
