Jones has missed the past two games with an ankle injury.
"Ready to play against the Texans," Jones said. "We went out there and we won a championship and I wasn't out there. But I'm still thankful to be a part of this team."
Jones, who was speaking about missing the game that clinched the AFC East title for New England, would be a huge boost to a depleted defensive line. Trevor Scott played well in place of Jones last week, however, with Jermaine Cunningham still serving his suspension for performance enhancing drugs, the Patriots are thin at the defensive end position. They will need strong play this week to both contain Arian Foster and get to Matt Schaub before he has a chance to beat the Patriots secondary with his primary weapon, Andre Johnson.
