The Patriots suffered a huge blow near the end of a 59-24 domination of the Indianapolis Colts.  With four minutes to go in the game, TE Rob Gronkowski went into the locker room following an extra point attempt.  X-rays later showed that he had broken his forearm.  Sources say that the timetable for his return is four to six weeks meaning he would come back at the end of the regular season or near the beginning of the post-season.

If TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is unable to go again on Thursday against the Jets, the Patriot receiving corps will be left severely depleted after having lost not only both of their star tight ends but also former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch who on Saturday was cut by the team for the second time this season.

Gronkowski will undergo surgery on Monday to repair the bone.
