While most of the National Football League and its fans continued to refresh news sites and watch ESPN for updates on where former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow would end up, the New England Patriots signed two more free agents.
New England picked up cornerback Will Allen, who recently suited up for the AFC East rival Miami Dolphins, and outside lineman Robert Gallery, who played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2011.
Before his five years in South Beach, Allen, 33, played for the New York Giants (2001-05), who picked up the CB in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
Allen played in 15 games for Miami last year, starting six games and recording 43 tackles.
The Oakland Raiders drafted Gallery in the first round, second overall, in 2004. The six-foot-seven, 325-pound OL has 103 NFL starts in 104 appearances.
