Brown, Shank reflect on Indy 500 reunion

The Indy 500 saw two sports car entrants align with Andretti Autosport as Michael Shank Racing and Zak Brown, owner of United Autosports and McLaren Racing’s new boss, brought Jack Harvey and Fernando Alonso to the event.

With a few days to decompress after their maiden Indy efforts, Brown and Shank spoke about the first time they came together when MSR and UA partnered to field an entry at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2011 (pictured below).

“If I look at Mike when we did the 24 Hours of Daytona, he has a fantastic team and is someone who is a great collaborator, and we had a great result,” Brown told RACER.
